It was clear from the moment I first chatted with Jenna & Shayne that photos were more than just a priority for them on their October wedding day at the Hacienda Sarria in Kitchener! They valued their wedding photography as of the most important parts of their day, since other than their new lovely spouse and some (incredible) rings, it's all they'd have to carry with them into the future to look back on! When asked to describe the vision for their day, Jenna said "elegant, fun, unique, classic, easy flowing, loving!" and I can attest that it ended up being all those things and more. Be sure to check out the talented list of vendors at the end of this post that helped pull their day together flawlessly.

I instantly fell in love with the colour palette Jenna & Shayne chose, with bold burgundy suits (and some flowers!), golds, natural sand and ivory tones, and pale greys and lavenders. It complemented every backdrop indoors and out at Hacienda Sarria, and as you can see from their portraits, the stunning fall foliage, too!

Gorgeous florals were provided by Lori & Steffi and Hollywood Weddings Inc.
I will admit I'm a sucker for details! I have a feeling Jenna and her cousin Lexi were aware of this, since they had all the important bling and things set aside and ready for me when I arrived, so I could go to work – including their Grandmother's book full of poetry, "Lines to Live By" by Clinton T. Howell, that has become a family tradition to be used at their family weddings and functions. It was an honour to be able to feature it in their photos!

The getting ready part of the day can be so fun, and one of the best features of Hacienda Sarria is their beautiful bridal suite, and neighbouring den for the other half! There's always interesting and fun angles to shoot from, great mirrored reflections and cool sight-lines to work with that always get me excited!

And, let's not forget about the boys...

We had a few photo sessions throughout the day, which I love and always recommend. We started with a First Look between Jenna & Shayne, followed by portraits of just the two of them. Next, we added in the wedding party, then wrapped up with family photos before their courtyard ceremony. Afterwards, we zipped off for some more bride and groom photos (the light was breathtaking!), additional family pics, then moved in to the reception (until we head out later for my favourite...sunset and twilight photos!)

The Ceremony
One of the most amazing things about having your wedding at Hacienda Sarria is that is offers incredible spaces, rain or shine. Luckily for Jenna & Shayne...it was shine! Their courtyard ceremony in front of the classical façade of the building and pond was nothing short of gorgeous, with sentimental and sincere vows and readings that brought more than a few tears.

And now, for some of my favourite pics of the day...a super quick session in the Hacienda gardens, that change so dynamically and beautifully with every season. I couldn't have designed a better palette for the wedding and backdrop for these photos! (Or lets admit it, a more gorgeous couple!)

The Reception
The event spaces at Hacienda Sarria are so perfectly laid out, with vantage points from limitless angles, and so many areas for guests to mingle and events to happen! From their entrance (on the balcony!) to their beautiful (and fun!) dances, the architecture adds as much to the feel of the space as it does to the photos, every time I shoot there!

And last but not least...goodnight kisses.

So it's fair to say that Jenna & Shayne's day was nothing less than spectacular, magical, dreamy, romantic, fun and absolutely perfect! Knowing all the in's and out's of the venue, having shot there so many times, is a definite perk, but working with such a wonderful couple, all of their friends and family, and amazing vendors always helps, too!
Wishing both of you all the happily ever afters imaginable. Thanks so very much for having me be part of your day!
