I absolute LOVE working with couples who are as chill and laid back as Natalie & Zack! Plus, couples who are open to a range of styles from cute & quirky to romantic & dreamy – it let's me be creative and have fun with not only props and backdrops, but with lighting and the couple themselves! This past Monday the three of us met up at Fanshawe Conservation Area (one of my favourite places to shoot in London!) - myself with a Mini Cooper All4 full of 30" balloons! I knew these guys loved bright green (it's a question in my engagement shoot questionnaire!) so that's what I brought!

Natalie and Zack had zero qualms about being in front of the camera, and were literally up for anything and everything, and didn't even look at me strangely when I started prompting them to making ridiculous faces for a super fun collage I had in mind.
And yet, we still captured so many incredibly dreamy portraits of the two of them.
I know Fanshawe Conservation Area like the back of my hand, and though it changes depending on the time of year, there is always beautiful light, if you know where to find it!
But...here's my favourite spot!

It's honestly such a photographer's paradise – especially when you're working with your dream couple!
Yeah...I saved the best for last.
I couldn't honestly ask for more than an amazing, fun, easy-going couple, the perfect location, some fun and cute props (all those balloons fit in my tiny little car, believe it or not!), and some dreamy golden-hour light! I can't wait for the big day with these two next year at the Elora Mill (another one of my favourite spots to shoot weddings!). Thank you both, and can't wait to see you soon! xoxo Shawn
